With home bases in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, we are in a more favourable position than most to do international business. We supervise proceedings for all forms of regulation and all competent judicial bodies. We have done so for decades, working with a select network of the best specialists in independent law firms throughout the world.

Our team of 27 Benelux insolvency specialists is led by Robert van Galen. He is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, vice president of INSOL Europe, chairman of INSOLAD (the Dutch Association of Insolvency Practitioners) and a highly experienced litigator who also represents clients in the Dutch Supreme Court. His team is highly regarded in the profession for the pioneering court cases resulting from the bankruptcy of Yukos and the Dutch branch of Lehman Brothers, and the restructuring of Kroymans and Endemol.

NautaDutilh is an international law firm with offices in Amsterdam, Brussels, London, Luxembourg, New York and Rotterdam. With more than 400 lawyers, notaries and tax advisers, we’re one of the largest in the Benelux region.

NautaDutilh’s reputation is based on the strength of its ability to innovate, its focus on solutions, and its extensive knowledge of clients, sectors and relevant networks. Our lawyers have been involved in pioneering legal developments since 1794, when we advised Dutch financiers in their negotiations with the United States government for the financing of the construction of Washington DC.

And to this day, we continue to owe our prominence to the unparalleled depth of our legal knowledge and to our inventiveness. Our lawyers are trained in understanding novel, complex situations and skilled in finding innovative solutions. We apply the same knowledge and rigour to matters of lesser complexity. That approach enables us to foster long-term business partnerships that truly provide value for our clients. In cross-border cases we are able to call on the most qualified and relevant international specialists thanks to our relationships, some going back decades, with leading international law firms. Our ultimate goal is to find the best and most efficient solutions for our clients.
